2024 Electoral College Map
As lead graphic designer, I was tasked with creating a clear, visually engaging print poster to represent the 2024 U.S. Electoral College—an essential educational and reference tool in the lead-up to the Presidential Election. The final piece, a 43"x45" infographic designed in Adobe InDesign, was printed in large quantities and distributed to schools, media organizations, educators, and election-watchers across the country.
This was my first major print project at C-SPAN, and it quickly became one of the most widely circulated pieces of collateral in our election coverage toolkit. In addition to the full-size poster, I developed alternate layouts for use in flyers, handouts, and direct mailings, ensuring the map remained legible and impactful across different sizes and platforms.
The project also taught me the nuances of designing for large-scale print: attention to legibility at a distance, balancing color clarity with accessibility, and preparing files for high-resolution press printing. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive from both internal stakeholders and the educators who continue to request the map as a visual teaching aid.
